We are going to go on a little grocery-shopping trip and help you guys figure out the best protein-rich foods for your muscle-building needs. Many skinny guys simply don’t know what foods are high in protein, so this list will be your grocery store checklist.

If you are looking to bulk up and gain the optimal amount of lean muscle mass, you will want to incorporate as many foods high in protein as you can. High protein food will feed your muscles those ever-important amino acids and help stimulate muscle recovery and growth. You should be incorporating high protein foods into every single one of your meals.

Many people become overwhelmed when they are at the grocery store and they have trouble trying to figure out the best foods high in protein for muscle building. This grocery store protein list will give you the foods that will help you put on the maximum amount of lean muscle mass while putting on the minimum amount of body fat. Fat-free chicken breasts are one of the highest protein-rich foods. They have hardly any fat on them, and they will help you pack on lean muscle mass very quickly. Make sure to purchase chicken breasts that are as close to fat-free as possible or trim the fat off your self. Chicken breasts are one of the best high protein foods for bodybuilding and should be a regular part of your diet.

If you want to spend a little bit of extra money, getting the all-natural grain-fed chicken is a good way to go. This will cut down on all of your added pesticides and hormones that are present in a lot of the chicken breasts.

Ground-Bison-Highest-Sources-Protein-Rich-Food2. Ground Bison or Buffalo

Out of all the foods high in protein, my favorite one is ground bison. This stuff is absolutely delicious and is one of the highest sources of protein-rich food. Ground bison contains some added muscle builders like zinc and natural creatine as well. One of my favorite meals includes a pound of ground bison and fresh guacamole on top.

Top sirloin is a high-quality protein-rich food that will help you pack on solid lean muscle mass.

When I am trying to stay super lean, one of the best foods high in protein is fat-free ground turkey. This stuff may taste a little plain, but it’s very easy to spice up with salsa or guacamole. Fat-free turkey is 100 percent pure protein and is one of the best muscle-building protein-rich foods.

Egg whites are another perfect protein-rich food choice. Egg whites contain no added carbohydrates or fat and are the perfect complement to a muscle-building routine. You can enjoy egg whites for breakfast or for a muscle-building snack throughout the day. Egg whites get an A+ on the foods high in protein list.

Pretty much all fish is a high protein food. Salmon and trout contain a little more fat than other fish, but it is healthy fat and they are high in omegas. Fish is a great high protein food and should be incorporated into any muscle-building diet. Some of the best high protein foods in the fish department are salmon, tilapia, trout, mackarel, crab, grouper, sockeye salmon, swai, and even lobster! A good rule of thumb is that if it is a mild white fish, it will be high in protein and low in fat. The fish that is pinker in color tends to have more fat but is usually high in omegas. Fish is delicious and adds a ton of variety to your high protein foods list. I will regularly enjoy steelhead trout, tilapia, and salmon. Canned tuna is another cheap option that is really high in protein.
